Brand Review (Notoriously Morbid Cosmetics)
Hello, Lovelies! So, a few months ago, I was looking through Google and blogs trying to find a new makeup brand. I love a lot of the 'normal' brands, but I was looking for something new to try. I came across Notoriously Morbid Cosmetics and fell in love!
They have so many different options for sizes of what you want (All of their eyeshadows are loose pigments).
Samples are $1.25 for 1/4 tsp in a baggie
Mini size is $2.75 for 1/3 tsp in a 3g jar
Full size is $5.5 for 3/4 tsp in a 5g jar
or Deluxe for $7.50 which is 1 to 1 1/4 tsp in a 10g Jar.
After looking on the site for a while at all the different products they offer:
Eyeshadows: Duochrome, Matte, Metallic, Semi-matte, Shimmer and Sparkle
Face: Bronzers, Contours, Blushes and Highlighters
Lip: Rouge,Tints, Gloss, Liquid Lipsticks and Balms
I decided that I would like to try some of them out!
I ordered 6 eye shadows and a lip balm. The eye shadow pigments are awesome. They last all day when used with a primer. They do have a specific primer that is made for these shadows as to not interfere with the color shift that some of them have. You can locate that here. This primer also works well with Kat Von D Metal Crush shadows!
Wolf Woman is a dusty brown with a purple/ green shift
Menehune: Purple with orange/green shift
Walking on Sunshine is Purple with an Aqua Tint
Evil Eye: Salmon pink with Yellow shift and shimmer
Chaos Reigns: Eggplant purple with a gold and green sparkle atop a slight red sheen
And last but not least... my favorite for the color and the title (The Crow is one of my favorite movies)
It Can't Rain All The Time : Iris purple with green hue and teal shift
The lip balm I bought is from the Night Kisses collection
Flavor: Wake the Dead which is coffee, marshmallow, and brown sugar
I have to say this is THE BEST lip balm I have ever used! It has beeswax (but not hard like Burt's Bees) Cocoa Butter, Shea butter, coconut oil, apricot kernel oil and Jojoba oil. The flavor is super yummy!
For those of you who like subscription services but do not want to commit to something every month, Notoriously Morbid Cosmetics has a "monthly trial" of their subscription service called Vanishing Cabinet for $13.25 a month. You can see what the theme is and swatches and see if it is something you want. If you don't want the one for that month than you do not have to get it for that month! I did get one of these and once I receive it I will share with you!
I know this was a rather long blog but I wanted to share my swatches with you!
