June Makeup and Other Faves
Hello, Lovelies! Thank you for joining me in this second part of my Monthly Mania!
This time, we will be looking at some of my favorite cosmetic products, makeup, and just something that I love!
First THIS MUG!! Okay so you know when you are out shopping and you come across something that just screams at you to buy it? That was this mug and I am in LOVE!
This is my favorite mug that I own. It fit me so perfectly. on the left and right side there are roses with a banner the left says 'my life' the right 'my rules'. Now my long time friends can tell you that is a motto I have lived by! Though this picture makes it look a little orange it really is red. THANK YOU ROSS for bringing this mug and I together, I will be stalking your shelves to find another ;)
On to the next!
Primer.. Now I saw this and thought i would give it a try
Hard Candy Sheer Envy Pore- Defense Primer & Serum $8.00 Walmart or Hard Candy
Now, let me start off by saying, if you have oily skin or skin prone to oil then this is not for you.
This product shocked me, as I was not very impressed with their other face products .This works very well at minimizing the look of pores and it makes your skin so smooth! you can use it as a primer or as a serum. It is a little thick as shown in the picture it's almost a creamy serum. It is oil free, paraben free and alcohol-free which is very nice in my book.
This primer also helps with color correction. The mint green/blue color helps to combat redness and evens out skin tone.
Since it's summertime, I had to include a bronzer!
Tarte Amazon Clay Waterproof Bronzer in Park Ave Princess. $30 Ulta
I am pretty pale (wouldn't guess I live in Florida) and sometimes I want a little sun kissed look, however, it is difficult to find one that doesn't make me look ridiculous or orange and ashy. This bronzer has beaten the odds.
This bronzer adds a simple 'touch of sun' look Though it's a little hard to see, i did swatch it on my thumb. It does have a slight sheen though I wouldn't say it's glittery as some are. This simply is a beautiful bronzer.
Where there's bronze and contour there's highlight
Notoriously Morbid My Beloved Highlighter
For those of you who have followed my blog, you have seen this highlighter before (for those who haven't please see my Notoriously Morbid review here )
I got this shadow as part of the Vanishing Cabinet "Stronger Than Death" and I have recently fell back in love with it. The issue a lot of people have with highlighters is it accentuates what you are using foundation to hide. I have this issue with a lot of highlighters, this one, however, doesn't seem to do that.
This provides a very pretty highlight that can be used anywhere. I love it on right under my eyebrow and my lips. Since I tend to have large pores, when I use this above my cheek bones, I like to matte it down with some translucent powder. I find this does help if you experience the same issue.
Now for my favorite makeup products ever! LIPS!! I won't lie when I say I have a bit of a lip obsession!
Doctor Lip Bang Lip Freak in Bubble Trouble $4.95 at Ulta
This stuff is awesome! It's an all natural buzzing lip balm. Yes, that's right, buzzing! It provides your lips with ultra moist, yummy flavor, buzzing sensation. If you have tried any lip plumping glosses such as Sexy Mother Pucker from Soap&Glory or NYX's lip plumping gloss it's pretty much the same sensation. Call me crazy but i love it!
It comes in 3 flavors ; Berry Sinister, Bubble Trouble, and Sin-o-Mint
Quite recently Ulta had a sale on their Urban Decay lipsticks so, naturally, I had to pick up these beauties
Left to right- After Dark, F-Bomb
These are just beautiful lipsticks. so rich and creamy and relatively long lasting. I love both of these colors so much! After dark is a matte lighter purple/berry and F-bomb is a cream red. Both of these are very comfortable to wear. Favorite combo: MAC Nightmoth liner with After Dark.
Last thing I would like to share is this Nyx Matte Lipstick in Up the Bass $6
When this color came out I was in Ulta almost daily for a week to get this! They sold out super quick and I can see why! I love this purple gray and I wear it as often as I can. This has to be my all time favorite color so far this year! This color is another one that blends well with a darker liner (MAC Nightmoth is my go to). Though it's a matte it is very creamy and easy to put on. Some mattes tug and break up, however, this is not an issue I have come across with this product.
Thank you for joining me today! I am so happy I got to share some of my favorites with you! What are some of your favorites this month?
