Makeup Haul/ Review

Over the past few days, I have purchased some new makeup from a few different places. I thought that I would share the love and show you what goodies I purchased!

(thumbs up for Halloween decoration in the background!) :)

Okay so let's start with skincare.

Spa Cosmetics Moroccan Argan Oil

This is a facial oil for glowing skin. Argan oil is great for adding moisture and for those with oily skin, this will not make you look greasy. It contains antioxidants, vitamin E and essential fatty acids that your skin needs to stay healthy. This is great to use as an anti-aging serum and it won't clog pores!

This one is infused with Macadamia oil and Vitamin E. This will bring dull skin back to life and keep it healthy and looking great!

I love that this is in a glass bottle with a dripper. It makes it so much easier to use. Apply just a few drops to your skin morning and night. This also works great when added to a thick foundation to help thin it out and apply more evenly, just 1 drop is all you need.

Kat Von D Everlasting Lip Duo: Lip Contour Edition. (L to R: Susperia and Melancholia) $19.

Can I just say how beautiful these colors are?! For those of you who have seen my blogs, you know I love my KVD. This contour lip kit is outstanding! Both of these colors are great on their own but put them together and WOW! Those who follow me on social media, as well as my blog, know I love the Everlasting Liquid Lipstick and while can be a bit drying (which I don't mind) these don't seem to do the same thing.

Use Susperia (beautiful violet) to outline your lips and Melancholia (pale doll pink) to fill it in. Then blend with your finger or a brush. The perfect ombre look! I love these colors. They are super creamy and pigmented. They don't dry out your lips but the color lasts all day. Goes on just like a gloss and dries matte. Infused with vitamin E and sunflower seed wax. Doesn't feel sticky.

Ciaté LondonLiquid Velvet - Moisturizing Matte Liquid Lipstick in Pin-up $19

Velvet is right with this lip color. It's so smooth and goes on super easy. The color is beautiful and really lasts. This lip color has hyaluronic acid for super moisture and helps lips appear fuller. My lips have never felt so soft even after removing the lip color. If you are looking for a new lip color that will help dry lips, lasts long, and is bold, I definitely recommend this! 13 different shades from Nudes to Teal and everything in between.

Butter London Lippy Bloody Brilliant Lip Crayon. (L to R: Ladybird and Primrose Hill Picnic) $20

So this is a brand that I have been DYING to try. I actually found these at T.J. Maxx and for a steal ($4.99 vs $20), so I thought to myself: 'Self, you MUST try these' and that leads us here. So First of all, a lippy crayon with a built in sharpener!? NO WAY! Yes they did!

'bloody brilliant' that's what this is! Okay, so back to the lip colors. Beautiful and wow are they pigmented! They feel like a liner with super control, goes on like a gloss with a bit of shine and covers like a lipstick plus infused with mango seed and marula oils for improved moisture. I couldn't ask for a better combo!  I have used the Nars Velvet Gloss and the Velvet Matte lip pencils and it is very similar, however, I almost like these better.

I am so guilty of what I like to call 'package shopping' meaning I have purchased things based off packaging. And this is one of few times I can say that I actually like the product itself. This is super cute metal chrome like red with velvet black lace like overlay. and OMG the little high heel so cute!

The one complaint I have about this is the wand can be a challenge to get out without flinging mascara everywhere. The wand has short silicon bristles which I love. I have never in my life had a mascara that smells good..this one smells like vanilla! I thought I was loosing my mind so I went and looked at the description and this is what I found "Sexy-Boosting Formula: Featuring pheromone-mimicking ingredients including clinically tested Androstadienon, Cocoa Extract (aka "The Love Chemical") and ancient aphrodisiac Horny Goatweed for instantly lust-worthy eyes. Infused with the scent of warm vanilla."

I did a little product test just for you! Left is with the mascara and right side has nothing.

I have to say I am loving this mascara!

Makeup Forever step 1 Skin Equalizer Primer $37

After spending time on You-Tube trying to find inspiration, I was watching a favorites video from Jaclyn Hill I decided to try this. I have not found a primer that I truly love and does something for my horrible pores. This one does is fantastic!

There are 11 primers to choose from; Mattifying (which is the one I chose) , Smoothing which instantly fills in and blurs imperfections , Hydrating boost and refreshes tired skin, Nourishing replenishes dry and dehydrated, Redness correcting neutralizes and evens out red tones, Cool pink for  yellow fair skin , Blue for yellow red fair skin, Peach for  fair skin, Yellow for tanned skin, Caramel for dark skin and mauve for yellow dark skin. Each one has specific benefits. You can even use more than one for your perfect custom primer.

It feels so good going on the skin, it's not heavy nor does it clog pores. I, honestly, notice not only a difference in how my makeup applies, but it also makes it last all day! I will be going back and getting the hydrating and probably the smoothing. If you are still searching for the perfect primer you should try this. Find your perfect one here

Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer in Med-Light. $28

This is one of the best concealers I have tried. It has a demi Matte finish so it's not too dewy or matte. It looks so natural and flawless. It really feels great on the skin and doesn't feel like you have a ton of concealer on. You can build it up where needed for extra coverage. This concealer will help with your skin's appearance with awesome ingredients that helps skin's elasticity and reducing the appearance of fine lines. Protects against dehydration for a more radiant complexion. It's concealer and skin care in 1.

Thank you for joining me for this haul, I know it was a long one! I would love to know your thoughts or suggestion on what to try next. Have you tried something you think I should try? Tell me about it!
