Today we will be looking at the Caolion Pore pack. I received this as a sample pack from Sephora and since I have horrible pores, I thought I would go ahead and do a review for you guys.

This is a 2 step system. The first one is a hot pore cleanser. It cleans out pore impurities and blackheads, exfoliates dead skin cells with grain powder and 'steaming effects' that make skin firmer. Charcoal powder gets out excess oil and makeup and 100% sparkling water to penetrate deep.

The first one is a hot pore cleanser. It cleans out pore impurities and blackheads, exfoliates dead skin cells with grain powder and 'steaming effects' that make skin firmer. Charcoal powder gets out excess oil and makeup and 100% sparkling water to penetrate deep.

Step 2 is all about tightening large pores. This is a cooling pack that calms and revitalizes. It has Alaskan Glacial water to keep skin moist and menthol to give it a cooling effect to soothe troubled skin.

What it doesn't have: Parabens, Sulfates, Phthalates, ethanol. artificial pigments, chemical fragrance, menzophenone, methylchloroisothiazolinone, phenoxyethanol, mineral oil, imidazolidinyl urea, triethanolamine, triclosan, petrolatum, steroid, or paraffin.

Let's get started on the tightening of the pores!!

First, we must cleanse the skin

I will be using my Soap & Glory Face Soap and Clarify (see review here)

After our face is nice, clean and dry we will go in with our step 1 Hot pore cleansing pack.

I have to say this does kinda smell like chocolate. (maybe it's just me)

Put this all over your face (or you can target specific areas). Make sure your skin is dry.

Now, this was a bit difficult to 'massage around for 1-2 mins' as it states on the instructions. However, once  you have it on, give it a sec and the 'steaming effect' will make it a little easier to massage. It does have tiny exfoliators to get deep down into pores.

Once we look super cute in our face mask, we let it sit for 5-10 mins.

You will feel it warming. It's not as warm as some of the other masks like this that I have tried. This mask actually feels comfortable and doesn't get super dry like clay masks.

And now we rinse with cold water.. yes cold water. Trust me it will feel great!

Once the mask is rinsed off, I did notice my skin was a little on the red side. That is to be expected with the 'steaming effect'.

Dry your face and let's go in with step 2.

You will notice this mask is more of a mud mask. It smells minty fresh and goes on a bit easier than the step 1

Looking cute again we let this one sit for 10-15 mins. You will immediately notice the cooling effect and it felt great. I actually had to turn my fan off because it was a bit cooler than I like.

Since this one is more of a mud mask, it will dry and feel tight on the skin.

Now it's time  to rinse

For this one, we will use luke warm water. Once rinsed off, pat dry and voila!

I felt my skin a little on the dry side so I applied some moisturizer.

Overall thoughts: This product did an ok job in my opinion. I'm sure that the more you use it the results will improve. I did notice a difference in my skin's texture and maybe a little improvement in my pores.

Where to buy: this product retails for $30 at Sephora for both as a kit or individual jars for $20 as well as other pore pack products at Peach&Lilly.

If I do purchase this product I believe I would only get the step 2 cooling mask. I currently use a cleaning brush so I really just need to tighten my pores.

Let me know what you think! Have you tried a pore minimizing product that you think I should try? Let me know in the comments!

Until next time..
